ABOUT JULIE

“After being in the field for a year as a registered behavior technician, my hands-on experience with helping teach children created a passion for Applied Behavior Analysis. Once I was able to see the change happening with my children, I knew that I wanted to be a part of helping other children around the tri-parish area in bigger way. I like to think that the decision to become a BCBA was not of my own, by rather by the children I was surrounded by. It was those children that created the passion that would ultimately land me in the position to serve others in need. After enrolling in school, the passion continued to grow as my knowledge and understanding of the field began to expand. While any type of schooling can be time consuming and challenging, I often looked forward to the future children I would be able to support in their journey. Some of my best memories in the field are from the children, their determination, and successes! Working with Cusps and Capabilities aligned with my values that I created while in my graduate program and offered the support I needed to help me become the most effective BCBA that I could be. While it is important to know that the learning is continuous, the support from my team makes it so much easier. I look forward to this journey and all these experiences!”
